Simple Golden Milk

🌼 All the spring feelssss 🤗


🤧 With hayfever my immunity always gets challenged in the spring, (and it subsequently flares up my mast cells). I'm torn by wanting to spend all the time outdoors but puff up with all the symptoms when I do 🤯


💫Something that I take all year round for boosting immunity, but I also find particularly useful in spring is turmeric lattes / golden milk


💪Turmeric contains curcumin which has been found to boost immunity in many studies, particularly when combined with black pepper (piperine) that helps the body absorb it.


🌟Not only is curcumin immune boosting, but it's also an antioxidant and is anti-inflammatory and low histamines (it actually prevents histamine release). I also find it helps to alleviate my joint/muscle pain when I'm flaring too!

INGREDIENTS:

~200ml plant based milk (I use Oatly Barista)

1 tsp turmeric blend powder [affiliate code POSITIVE15]

1 tsp sweetener of your choice (I use Steens Manuka Honey - use affiliate code positivelychronictravels20 for 20% off)


METHOD: Heat the milk over the stove on a medium heat, whisking as it heats to create lots of foam. Once it's about to boil, turn it off and add the turmeric blend and the honey and mix well. Pour into a mug and enjoy!
